Earlier this month, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg organized the first edition of the Social Networking Night in Luxembourg.
With this event, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce wants to connect young Spaniards currently residing in Luxembourg with other Spanish professionals who have been settled in the country for years. By doing so, the more experienced Spaniards can share their advice and experiences with those who had just arrived in the country.
During the event Nathalie de Lira, Director of Select Luxembourg, and Michèle Pourigneaux, Sales Director of the Benelux, shared insights about the current situation on the jobmarket in Luxemburg. They shared valuable advice on how to find a job and how Select HR Luxemburg can help jobseekers in their search for a new job.
After sharing this information, five people who found a job in the financial sector in Luxemburg, shared their experiences and gave advice to the jobseekers present at the event. These were Paloma García Nieto Banca March Director; Rocío García-Santiuste Azcúnaga Counsel at Van Campen Liem, Vicente Garrido Mortes Director at PwC, Monica Hortelano López Director at Quintet Private Bank and Alvaro Laorden Head of Treasury & Market Services at RBC Investor Services Bank.
The event ended with a networking moment where newcomers and experienced people could connect, share ideas and learn from each other. Nathalie and her team of Select Luxemburg took the time to answer all questions jobseekers had: ‘We were very happy to sponsor this event. We welcome all nationalities in Luxemburg and want to give every nationality an opportunity to connect, learn and work in Luxembourg.’
